Happiness

Hi Friends!!! This is Ishaan and I am back with another post. Hope you all are doing well. So, today let's talk about Happiness. Most people in society have this general belief that you need money to be happy. Now, I agree that money can buy you stuff that may make you happy. But, this happiness is only for a short time. According to me, Happiness is not a possession to be prized, it is a quality of thought, a state of mind and it's the little things in life that truly make me happy. Let me tell you a story to make you understand the true meaning of happiness.

A 92-year-old lady who used to be fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock with perfect makeup, even though she is blind, moved to an old age home. Her husband recently passed away making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby, she smiled sweetly when she was told her room was ready. She was provided with a visual description of her tiny room. "I love it," she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy- "But Mrs. Jones, you haven't seen the room," said the attendant. "That doesn't have anything to do with it," she replied. "Happiness is something you decide. I have already decided to love it. It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I can spend the day in bed, recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that don't work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as I am alive I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away, just for this time in my life." The attendant was greatly touched by the elderly woman's sense of cheer and boundless enthusiasm.

Now, my point is that life is not going to be all smooth. There are going to be ups and downs. Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. There's going to be stress in life, but it's your choice whether you let it affect you or not. Happiness is fleeting. Grab it like a firefly and never let go.

So, do whatever makes your soul happy. because you deserve happiness always, no matter what.

This morning, I went for a jog just before sunrise. The air was cool, not cold—just enough to wake me up. The world was still quiet, half-asleep. I was walking home one evening, lost in thought, when a friend texted me out of the blue:   “How do you know when it’s worth reaching back out—and when it’s time to let go?”   It was a simple question, but it stirred something deeper in me.
