Rhythm of life

So, here I was listening to some upbeat songs and I was having lots of fun humming the tunes but, then a thought came into my mind - Music can express every feeling. Maybe music is what feelings sound like. Our music choices say a lot about us and when words leave off, that's where the music begins.

Hi Friends!!! This is Ishaan and I am back with another post. Hope you all are doing well. So, today let's talk about Music. Music is the shorthand of emotions. Moreover, it is a means of giving form to our inner feelings without attaching them to events or objects in the world. I think that music is one of the greatest forms of art to ever exist and that life without it would be pretty dull.

If you want to firm up your body, head to the gym. If you want to exercise your brain, listen to music. There are few things that stimulate the brain the way music does. If you want to keep your brain engaged throughout the aging process, listening to or playing music is a great tool. It provides a total brain workout. Research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood, mental alertness, and memory.

It has been scientifically proven that music helps repair brain damage and it also helps plants to grow faster. Though it does not mean that you can grow your plants by giving them plenty of music and no water.

The true beauty of music is that it connects people. I mean come on we have all at least been there once when we play our favorite song and someone shouts out "hey that's my favorite song too!" We do feel that slight happiness and then we start discussing all the things we like about the song.

(Ps: If you cannot relate to it then try playing your favorite song in public someday.)

Each human personality is like a piece of music, having an individual tone and a rhythm of its own. So, we all are different and the type of music we all enjoy is also quite varying. The type of music we listen to also effects our personality to some extent. I think good taste in music is right up there with good personality, and good conversation. Music can also help lift our mood when we are gloomy. We often don't realize it but, music has a really important part in our lives.

Why do you like the music you like?

Have you wondered why you love a particular song or genre of music? The answer may lie in your personality, although other factors also play a role, researchers say.

Many people tend to form their musical identity in adolescence, around the same time that they explore their social identity. Preferences may change over time, but research shows that people tend to be especially fond of music from their adolescent years and recall music from a specific age period more easily.

Personality may influence our musical taste, but it’s important to note that changes in musical taste do not indicate a change in personality. Even if we change what we listen to, we implicitly remain the same people. An introvert may change over time … but ultimately their core [and] basis will be introversion.  Now these lines here that I have highlighted were said by a person and I don't think I agree a 100% because I feel that music does have the power to change our personality and our thinking.

Here are some fun facts about music:

1. A song that gets stuck in your head is called an "earworm" (comment your earworm song).

2. Your heartbeat changes and mimics the music you listen to.

3. Music can help return lost memories.

4. The chills you get from listening to your favorite band or piece of music is called "musical frission".

I would like to end this post by saying that Life is like a beautiful melody, only the lyrics are messed up. So, enjoy the music and remember that where words fail, music speaks.
